In the period of COVID-19

Do you know what it’s like to be in the Coronavirus period? No? Then this is the story best suited for you to read.

Weird thing number 1

At some schools (like mine), if you say, ‘I feel sick’, you go STRAIGHT home because they say they’re taking ‘no risks’. You could have faked being sick and gone home to play video games on your PS5 or Xbox.

If you get sick you have to be isolated for 2 weeks at home. That’s right when you fake being sick you get to stay home (YAY I GET TO PLAY VIDEO GAMES FOR 2 WEEKS!!!) But before you get too excited, there’s bad news for kids. When you’re isolated you still have to do work at home and if you left something precious to you at school before you left, someone can steal it and have the right to do it. So don’t think about pretending to be sick and play Minecraft at home because anyway it won’t work.

In the COVID-19 period on Christmas, 3 households can mix with each other (normally we couldn’t mix at all. I’ll explain later in detail).

Weird thing number 2

Some people could skip school in the week before the Christmas holidays because the teacher said if you get sick on the last week before breaking up (a saying for when it’s the last day and you’re going on holiday) you would have to isolate for 2 weeks which is on Christmas so you couldn’t mix with 3 households. So they said the parents can choose if they could come to school. Then the next week I went to school and there were only 17 people in the class (not including the teachers).

Lockdown

When Coronavirus started straight away there was a lockdown for 8 months. Our teacher told us to do our schoolwork on a website called Oak National Academy. Some people were naughty and didn’t do it. I did most of it though.

Second Lockdown

The second lockdown wasn’t that long. To be honest I don’t even know how long it was!

I don’t know what to say now so…

THE END!

In the period of COVID-19

You might be thinking ‘History is weird, and they shouldn’t have made public toilets in the Roman times’, this is exactly the same to that.
